American Assassin is a decent, if typical, cat-and-mouse CIA thriller. The story and action both move at a fast pace, and there are some plot twists that keep you guessing (as well as some that are predictable). It's nice to see Michael Keaton back in the big boy chair lately, and he doesn't disappoint in this one.
